Success Story: Derek W.
Derek was the subject of prank calls at all hours of the day and night. The calls were always from Restricted numbers, and the caller would heavily breathe in the phone before hanging up. On a few occassions, the prank caller made verbal threats to Derek. Derek contacted his local police department who told him that there was not enough evidence to justify any action on their part.
One day, Derek noticed on his Cingular phone bill that the phone number of the caller was shown in clear and not restricted. He attempted to call it back, to no avail. The voicemail of the caller was just a generic voicemail box. It was a cell phone.
Derek tried to look in the White Pages to see if there was a record, but there was not. He found our service and decided to give it a shot by subscribing to the Premium service, which allows for unlimited lookups, people search and background searches.
Derek found out that the caller was his ex girlfriend's new boyfriend, and that he was a felon.
With that information, Derek was able to file a police report, which led to an offical restraining order.
Success Story: Angela
Angela sold her car to finance the purchase of a bigger car to accomodate her family. All was well, when she started to receive parking violations and toll-free violations to her address, which had been accumulated by the new owner.
Some of the paperwork had not been filled out. She tried calling the phone number that was used by the person who had purchased her car, but it was disconnected. She tried finding the person in the white pages, with no luck (his name was too common)
Angela found our service and ran a lookup against that phone number. Even though the number had been disconnected, there were records of the previous two owners of that phone number. The first record matched the name she was looking for, and the address was not too far from where Angela lived. Angela paid the buyer a visit and all the paperwork was completed.
